Families in Care (FIC) provides an independent advocacy, counselling, mindfulness and peer support to birth parents involved with Child Protection Services.
Established by a group of parents, FIC has been a registered charity for over 30 years and is recognised as a specialist organisation by child care professionals across Tyneside.
Please note that advocacy and counselling services are currently available only
to families involved with Newcastle Children Social Services.
Please contact us for more information.
We offer first and final year social work placement opportunities, as well as training opportunities for parents and family law students.
Final, 100 days social work placement opportunities are offered as statutory tasks placements - please contact our team for more information.
Please consider donating to our charity.
Your contribution will ensure that vital support is provided to one of the most isolated and vulnerable members of our society.
If you prefer to send us a cheque, please contact our team
and we will be happy to provide you with all necessary information.
